Jarvis Cosmetic Developments is committed to being a successful commercial enterprise and while achieving this, we strive to minimise and manage our impact on the environment.
- Our commercial success benefits our shareholders, employees and customers. The success of our environmental management system will benefit not only those stakeholders in direct contact with us, but all those outside of that scope who may not even have heard of us or used our products.
- To implement a successful system, we need to understand what we put in the air, into the earth and into the water systems. As part of this process, we will critically evaluate our processes to understand how we create and manage waste, our handling and storage of raw materials and specifically, how we protect the world outside our factory from what we do within.
- The high standards of environmental management we require will be achieved through the implementation and consistent maintenance of a comprehensive Environmental Management System (EMS) to ISO 14001 standards. The application of this system is a team effort. The whole company is one team and therefore, the responsibility for the success of our EMS lies with everyone. It is the dictate of the directors and owners of this company, that the company will apply for and achieve official certification as ISO 14001.
To achieve this, we have three core objectives.
Our primary objective is to use the knowledge and available data to devise and implement systems that will reduce our environmental impact to the minimum that we can without destroying the business that we have, or service we offer.
Our second objective is to identify the impact that our operation, as it stands, has on the environment.
Our third objective is to understand, measure and document how we control our environmental impact.
